  1. Are you interested in some new tail light lenses? I have some and also blue dot lenses that go with them. Let me know and we can work out something.

Didn’t take any pictures but yesterday Chopolds finished frenching up the drivers said taillight, then we swapped out the 58 “ wide, 9 inch rear I had there for a 56” maverick rear. Big difference in clearance. Now I will have no problems running the 51 merc skirts! Hoping to sort out some side trim and a trunk latch this week, and get back to sanding more of that paint off this weekend.

So I made a post on Facebook about some ripple pipes.. someone responded he had a two piece ripple pipe, but only one side.. if anyone has a set, or know any information on who made these, I’d be interested in knowing! They are about 58 inches long, 1 3/4 diameter, the ripple is 16 inches long. As I said it’s two piece and the bends on both sides are very different from what I seen.. closer to a 45 on the exit end and more then a 90 on the front side.. IMG_5561.JPG

This weekends progress.. got the body all stripped for the most part.. need to do the inside of the trunk lid, the engine compartment and window and door jams. We taped up the 51 merc skirt then the trim to give me an idea what needs to be done, going to order two more quarter pieces and put them on the door and front fender. We think it will work better. Mark Wojcik started welding up the seam in the passenger side quarter, while I tried to get inside the window areas. Pretty happy with the progress! IMG_5794.JPG

got it from a guy on facebook, sold be the quarter panel pieces, both of the check pieces, and the door trims for 50.00 plus shipping. Think it ended up costing me almost 67.00 all together. Im looking for two more quarter panel pieces. I want to use them for the door and front fenders instead of the stock dodge door trim.

Mark, (Chopolds ) from Customs by Flash getting some work done on my coupe.. sent me these pics tonight!! I am no longer going to have to worry about fighting with the removing the rear tires when it’s lowered!! The 51 Merc Skirts gave plenty of room to raise the wheel wells! Thank to Gunar Hansken of the Swanx car club for the idea!!

Here’s the rear wheel well to start..
    Some cutting..
    Little bit more...
    Some welding..
Now the wheel well fits the 51
[IMG]merc skirt instead of making the skirt fit the shoebox.. all in all Mark said he raised it a little under 2 1/2 inches. Should have no problems with taking off the rear tires now!

Mark (Chopolds) owner of Customs by Flash, just put these up.. man.. I can’t wait to get there tomorrow and work on my coupe! This thing is moving right along! At first glance, you can barely tell the rear wheel well is moved up 2.5 inches! Not have any tire issues now!!

Cool project. You might want to try @chevsotolac here on the HAMB. I saved a post of his for future reference when I might need some trim for a custom project.

Mark, ( Chopolds) at Customs by Flash posted these last night! Right quarter is now all finished up! The more I look at it the more I’m amazed. Between raising the rear wheel well, frenching the taillights and decking the trunk lid, the coupe is coming together! All that’s really left for the back end, is mounting the remote trunk latch. The skirts may get a little modifications to the front side, so it matches the new trim line, but otherwise they are done! Next up doors and front end!!!
