This is my 1940 Dodge D17. Its life started as a four door car. It was converted into a three window Coupe by the Menges Twins Speed shop out of California. The build was started many years ago and stopped. I purchased the car in Nov. 2020. The car now lives in south Texas. I still have a ton to do but it is well on its way. I have installed a 56 Desoto FireFlight 330 with a ford T5 trans. built floors (need to removed to bead roll). Steering. peddle assembly. fuel tank. shocks etc. etc. been busy.
Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois. Nice build of an unusual custom. Looking forward to following your progress.
Hope you can see out of those tiny windows! Looks too extreme to me. Otherwise good luck on the build.
That is a very noble project! As a fellow MOPAR owner ( 1947 Dodge D-24 3 window business coupe ) I am glad to see another cool MOPAR project making progress!
Wow you have a job ahead of you, not my type of car to own , however I really like these cars an look forward to watching your progress please keep posting let's watch your build I'm keen as hell
Goofy! Weird! Wicked AWESOME! The DeSoto and T-5 are perfect for it, too. Good for you! Hope there's enough fender room to steer it, though.
Looks like the car is on air bags (or he intends it to be), in the front view without the fenders, the lower control arms are nearly touching the frame and all 4 control arms are pointing upward at the ball joints. Not my cup of tea, but another Hemi powered Mopar is OK with me.
Anyone know him that could get in touch...heck fake world event put my build on hold...cant mention it here though...
Nice project. As a suggestion if it were mine I would somehow lower the the front of the hood. Looks like its going to be out of proportion to the rear slope
WOW all that work put into the car and then left outside to the elements . Glad You were able to get it and save it.
