Somebody mentioned the page is getting boring, here are some Aussie Hot Rods you may or may not have seen before.
1963 Impala with a 427 Mystery Motor at the GM Proving Grounds in Arizona. It was built by Rex White and Louie Clement and Chevrolet had it there for testing for the Daytona 500.
Hardcore. Lord hates a coward. If it had brakes, ten to one they didn't work. Around me, trucks go three places to die; the woods, the farm, or the quarry. This one has a sash window as a half driver door, and someone rigged a locomotive bell to it. It has the prerequisite front baldy tire, so you know its vintage. The bottom one brakes prob aren't helping much, with that kind weight. I do see tread tho...
blue coal was sprayed with blue dye. Coal all looked the same, so this gave them brand recognition. The other way was to toss scatter tags in the load. blue coal was from Pennsylvania, blue diamond coal is from Kentucky and still digging it up to this day. scatter tags;

That boat/car is still there on the LBJ Ranch. My older daughter took pics of it about 18 months ago.
