While titled as a 29 Essex, this is actually a custom fiberglass body built from a narrowed front half of a 27 model t touring. Gary Trenner was the builder, and he had around 30 of these bodies built. My brother and I each bought one, my brothers is on the road but I chose to build a 26 tudor first. My tub is upstairs in the shop waiting to be built.

Yeah, I threw a zinger in there.;) In/about 1955, Charlie Ryan (Hot Rod Lincoln Song) took a 41 Lincoln Zephyr 4 door sedan, removed the body, shortened the frame 2 feet, threw in a Lincoln V12, slapped a 30 A body on it and called a (30) Hot Rod Lincoln. He used to tour with it. Was restored for the 2012 Detroit Autorama.

Sonny Gordon by chance? My dad worked on his PB with him building the rod.

That's my father's car. He sold it in the early-mid 90s and it disappeared for a while. Showed up at Barret Jackson a decade? ago and disappeared again.
Bought on Post St. in San Francisco late 80s all stock.
Built over the next couple of years
Has a pretty trick front suspension (for the time), you can sort of see the lower control arm in the picture

    Thanks for the memories....
