is there for example a 1968 style mustang parking brake cable that is fully sheathed or bowden encased
from another model, that has the correct nippland inner spring and the correct ferrule to backplate goings on
    thanks
not too worried at the pointy end

  2. I usually use a pair of Pioneer CA-5201 cables; and go from there.

    ahh, so 1965 mustang...
so the bowden bit is much longer than stock 40 - reaches the centre x
    ?

or, i think i just done this with these
the bowden lands near the front spring mount on a twin leaf set up, and the cable is long enough to get to the stock cablew swivel of a cable braked 37 - used the stock 37 ends in the mustang cables

is there a cable that is sheathed all the way there?

There are generic cables available on the market however there are businesses that can produce cables to suit your requirements.

  7. I sometimes use this kinda stuff to hook the rear cables up; the equalizer, clevis, and pin are repop '40 Ford parts.

I also have had the cables made at Power Brake & Equipment on other cars. Interesting to watch them make and test the cable; they have a formula so it comes out the right length as the cable stretches during the process.
