My car built by Steadfast Mfg. was just on the cover of Goodguys magazine for Hot Rod of the Year and also on the cover of Wheel Hub Magazine. The Wheel Hub shoot was done at Mansfield Reformatory aka Shawshank. It was awesome to be able to get inside for pics.

The closest for me was a picture of my Roadster in a NSRA year end book, my 32 in Goodguys gazette, stand alone pictures, not feature articles and times my cars in background of pictures. My Roadster made the cover of a promo for Milwaukee Lakefront Classic Car show promoting the local club's gathering the day before the Big Show. I have these magazines in my memorabilia collection. I had a few 15 minutes of fame in my racing years, also in my collection of old "Stuff" It's a big deal/honor to get a cover shot on a magazine, recognition for your passion/work is appreciated IMO

My car has been in two different car mags when the MSRA Btt50's event was covered. It always amazed me that my simple homebuild would get chosen for picture out of over 10,000 cars at the event.

My Austin gasser. Built in a 10'x20' Costco canopy in the backyard. Gasser Wars Magazine 4 page spread. And won 1st place in Nostalgia Hotrod Class at the Roadster Show.

My car hasn't been on a cover, but it did make the Corvair Form calender for 2020. It was the pick for the month of May.
This is the pic they used. 20210101_181848.jpg

  11. Between the 65 and the 31 Chrysler I have been in at least 20. Some covers some features. They have also been in alot of promotional material. I always keep a issue that I never look at. I make sure they are put in plastic sleeves. If its from a subscription with my name on the cover then thats the one thats saved. I was at a swap meet years ago and bought a magazine rack that was for sale. I filled it up as soon as I got home. Its a cool way to display them. Here's a few things. 20150911_094730.jpg 20150911_094753.jpg FB_IMG_1597424082296.jpg 20200522_140004.jpg 2647.jpeg received_2628576027156947.jpeg 0219191750.jpg Image-1.jpg 20190922_191528.jpg 20200327_163658.jpg 20160917_102737.jpg 20171203_183423.jpg 20200302_103511.jpg 20150911_094730.jpg 20150911_094753.jpg FB_IMG_1597424082296.jpg 20200522_140004.jpg 2647.jpeg received_2628576027156947.jpeg 0219191750.jpg Image-1.jpg 20190922_191528.jpg 20200327_163658.jpg 20160917_102737.jpg 20171203_183423.jpg

Kim, I remember that issue vividly. I remember your Lincoln stopping me in my tracks. In my opinion, that's one of the top 3 custom Lincolns of all time. The colors and lines have a softness that almost looks like a watercolor painting in real life. Magnificent.

My pride and joy was submitting several nostalgia articles to Vintage Oval Racing Magazine related to jalopy racing. They devoted full-page spreads to nearly all the historical photos I sent them. That was so cool and very satisfying. It worked out so well.

Couldn't tell you the "regular way" it's done? I was approached at the Billetproof Drags here many years ago, and asked if they could talk to me about my car. Then it went forward from that conversation to become the magazine spread.

Not to worry, junk gets in also,, my 41 pickup was in a number of magazines from Rodders Digest to Street Rodder, only Frank Oddo's 40's had more pages,,, you see like Frank, I was a Hot-To writer for awhile and my 41 was the subject of many an article from nerf bars to shifters to glass install to a flame job.
I don't have the photos on this computer, but I will gather them as I am sure I will get the BS claim

I accidently parked with one tire on top of a magazine one time! Also one of my cars picture is on the wall at the Black & White Bar and Grill in Wendover, does that count?
