My local auto wrecker has a room with just set's of bucket seats that you can look at and purchase. You might try looking at local yard and see what you can use.

A 41 Willy`s deserves better than a cheap set of bucket seats.

I would look for some vintage foreign car seats. Some of them are real nice looking and they hold you tightly.. The top seat has air vents..

Where are you located? I've got 2 pair of buckets, but shipping is not feasible. One pair of econoline and don't know what the other pair is out of but has that metallic type upholstery in green. And they would be fairly cheap. Ron

Years ago I bought my son a 95 Neon that the seats I thought would be good for that. They had high backs and it's not hard to find as they built those Neons for many years. I also had a 2006 Durango that had good seats as well and were power adjustable.

  14. How about early (VW bug) ,,,,, kind of OT hence the parentheses. Might just work for what you're after. Mitch

  15. Most modern buckets are still too wide for our early cars. Early sports car stuff works if you can find some. 50s Triumph, MG, Austin Healy etc. That is what I have for my Tudor.

Gasser era, some upolstered fiberglass cafeteria bases would fit the part since they were used at the time.

The other option is to build some bases. I did these in steel.

You're in So Cal, if you're interested I have the bucket seats I took out of the A, I'll sell them cheap.
They need to be recovered, but I used them like that for years until I got tired of them and decided to replace them. If interested I'll shoot some pics and send them to you.

I used seats from an '86 Pontiac Fiero in an off-topic little hot rod 30 years ago. They come with speakers built into the head rests.

If you need something kinda small to fit in it, you might look on Ebay and some of the websites for some Polaris Razor seats. Very light and reasonably comfortable. Easy to install. Lots of people sell used ones cheaply.

Pick and pull yards can save some bucks. I pulled a nice set from a 97? Camaro for less than a 100 last summer. Black leather and won’t look out of place in an older ride after I take the adjustable head rest out. Just have to modify the seat riser for my truck as they do sit too low as is.

I don't know your definition of "cheap" but these are my roadster seats and I thought they were pretty reasonable, I bought them many years ago, I think they were $300 each.
They are made by Mastercraft, at the time they were in the SanDiego area but are now in Indianapolis, I bought mine direct but I see that Summit Racing has them.
They are called a suspension seat and they come already upholstered, Mastercraft is well known in the off-road truck racing scene and at the time I bought these they called them a "pre-runner" seat, I made the angled seat risers.

Many years ago ,my F.I.L did the same on a tractor seat base for his Dirt race car.
[It would be a cheap "Bomber seat" alternative]

Depends on somebody's skills or self respect [aceptable standard]

My F.I.L trimmed and blended the rolled edge into the backs. This was in the 60's

On the one pictured, a dimple die would go a long way
