  1. ...nice stuff this week ,...safarinut, so are those just flat plates painted to look like they are embossed?...simply beautiful.

    HOLY CRAP Ray!!! Your understanding of light and shadow to create 3 a dimensional embossed look is friggin' amazing...PLUS the fact that you have the "brush skills" to pull it off...just plain amazing:cool:

  10. Thanks for the kind words. Yes they are flat plates just painted to look three-dimensional. I did a How to post on how to paint them and finally found it. Can't believe I posted it 17 years ago! If you are interested in the technique,do a search titled: "Art: How to paint a personalized license plate" It was dated March 7 2004.

    I've got one of these plates from Ray that I got many years ago. It is still one of my favorite art pieces, and I have a lot of art.
