Im a younger guy that has always had a great appreciation for traditional built cars. I've always been into off topic cars mainly late 60s and 70s but I finally sold one and picked up my dream car, a 36 humpback sedan. I bought the sedan as I have two kids under 10 and want to take them out to the shows. When I bought the sedan it was all original, front was in primer, wiring shot and interior in sad shape. I've sense rewired it, got the front sheet metal bolted down and started smoothing it out best I can. Here are some pictures. Sent from my SM-G960U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Some more pictures, the Lincoln brakes i purchased from speedway, going to run 39 front drums and keep my wide 5 wheels, and my latest pickup a 59ab flathead and 39 trans that hopefully will be in good shape and long term will be swapped in in place of the original 21 stud flathead. Update on the build, I found rust in the frame in the comon 36 spots, I pulled the body and started cutting. At this point the frame is all repaired and painted. Exhaust from reds is all mocked up and gas tank is installed. New brake lines are also ran. Currently working on my 39 steering box rebuild
Congrats on your trip into an older era in Automobile and Go Fast Hop Up...A great make and model to start with...roomy and great for Family... Great job tackling the frame...nice quilting, mancave style... X2 on the Grey
Sorry for a long pause on updates, I got the frame completely done, but not until after taking it all apart again, having it sand blasted and then top coated with Eastwood paint. Reassembled it and the 59a came back from the machine shop. Then I dived into metal work never done that before but so far I have replaced the floors, repaired the trans tunnel and currently working on the cowl bottoms.
Tonight I continued on the toe boards, drilled holes for the pedals, fit the drivers side to the car, bead rolled, marked the holes and bolted it down. Then did the same to the pass side. I need to do some work on the floor where the toe boards meet but very close to being done.
Last night I modified the floor and finalized the toe boards. Now all the screws work to hold them down and I made a hole for the throttle rod.
