Get yourself checked out to make sure you are ok. The car can be fixed and you want to make sure you are well enough to enjoy it.

Geesh, how did I miss this??!! Sorry to hear it happened but really glad you are on the mend and so is the car.
I know how you feel. I lost a car do to a fire while I was in it going 70 mph down the highway. But I got out unscathed. The car, not so much. Total loss. The incident does affect you for a bit.
Lots of good people on here that truly care and are willing to help!

I still have that pair of vintage n.o.s. Eelco unwelded tank halves, if you want them to repair your tank they are yours. I can send pics if you would like.

Sorry to hear of year accident, glad to hear /see of your updates. Wish I could help, even though
I live close in Pa. As you may know I built some Super Stock racers, when a crash happens
it is a big set back, your health is no. 1. Even though we worry about the car, I was the same
way. But I started rebuilding the car the next day. Glad you are feeling better. Hope to see the
    car when fin.

  15. Well said Lloyd.
Mikey, good to see the parts rolling in and the car going back together. Also great news that you are not having any worse health issues resulting from the accident.

Don't know how I missed this. Sorry to hear the news, but glad to see you're on the mend. I'm close by. If you need anything, hit me up. Even if it's just a hand holding/moving things.

  21. Gentleman. Mock up on the grill shell completed, fan brackets and new 10 blade Spal fan mounted. Radiator in, painted and supports mounted. Hoses hooked up, full of fresh coolant. No leaks, so far. Next, wiring the fan, relay, sending unit etc. And fire up. Picture added of my poor vintage Eelco fuel tank, RIP. Mike,

The coupe is looking great! As far as the Eelco tank goes, you have a conversation piece to hang on the wall of from the ceiling.

Glad you are getting everything back together, really hated to see you go through this. A buddy of mine has taken dented up motorcycle tanks, filled them with water and put them in the freezer. I didn't believe it but it worked.

Looks like the Hotrods nearly back in town...good stuff @mad mikey...just a reminder in a state of certain reflections and positive ions...don't forget the return springs throttle linkage joints as you mentioned as the cause and the safety neutral switch for proper function...

I'm highly suspect you have but as a double check there is much going on in this healing thrash...;)

My hat is off to you sir. That is looking sweet. As mentioned, take some time to relax as well
Easier said than done. It will be great to fire that beast. Good luck and be well.

  28. Cool. So you can make it to the Showdown!
Fill that tank 3/4 with water and freeze it, the dent might come out.

  29. I don't think that will work, the other side is really mashed and mangled. I have been searching for a replacement . Thanks Steve, I hope to have the car at the Showdown.:)
