[IMG]thanks to Continetaljohn on the H.A.M.B. for the grill shell I added some bling to the nose.[IMG][IMG]Added the driveshaft to the truck one more step to making it move. Don’t worry to make it more period correct I removed the warning label [IMG][IMG]Three hours to take the box apart and six months to clamp it back together. Now it’s off to get dipped and E Coated[IMG]random picture of the bed wood.

It's hard to believe with all that engine and tranny in there the cover is only 1 inch or so off the floor...very good for the Tootsies...

So this is goi to be a pretty big photo dump I’ve kinda been slacking on the updates[IMG][IMG][IMG]got parts back from stripping and E coat [IMG]gas tank painted[IMG]gas tank and fuel pump mounted [IMG]picture of the mounting of the gas cap still need to rivet it to the bed[IMG]picked up a spare tire holder at Fall Carlisle seeing as I only got one I didn’t need the spare tire holder on the driver side so we filled that in[IMG][IMG][IMG]cutting the patch to fit[IMG]all tacked in[IMG]all ground up now to smooth it out with a shrinking disk next time

So after getting the truck back from E coating I made a list of things to do I’m sure things will get added to the list[IMG]one of the things on the list was to mock up the truck again to finish mounting things[IMG][IMG]another thing we needed to do was make sure I fit [IMG][IMG]and it’s now dog approved [IMG]also I ran the line for the slave cylinder for the clutch[IMG]

Looks real good. The chemical dip and E-coat is the way to go.

Fantastic build, a traditional garage build at that! You do nice work. Love 32-34 pickups.

I had a '33 pickup, nice sheet metal, did the chassis (SBC, '39 box, '40 rear) Sold it to finish my '27 Highboy.
Your project really came out, just love the long bed, stance, and use of the Dodge red ram.
GM Bell housing appears to be connected to something like a Chrysler 'collar', machined flat?
Didn't read anything in the post. (I have a DeSoto Firedome, really like the bell housing trick.)

Great project, enjoying the ride along, thanks for the detailed pictures. I recently drug a 32 cab home just because i couldn't pass it up. Your story is motivational.

I may have omitted that detail. It’s a Hot Heads adapter for a Chevrolet transmission. I used a 62 Chevy truck bel housing because the clutch fork is on the passenger side thus freeing up room for the floor pedals to work without major mods to the pedals
