Sorry for you loss. Sounds like your dad was a real inspiration and mentor. Hopefully you'll be able to have a service for him now that the pandemic is winding down. My 100 year old father passed in December but we weren't able to have any services due to this Covid thing. His body went to the local University teaching hospital as part of it's bodies for science program. By the time we get his ashes back we'll be able to give him the send off he deserves.

My condolences to you and your family. You had a great dad and were able to enjoy your cars together. I had a great relationship with my dad but he wasn’t a car guy. I lost him in 1978. Still talk to him daily.

  7. My sincerest condolences to you and your family on this dark day. I know how heart wrenching it is: I lost my Dad 50 years ago, before we had time to make as many memories as you and your Pop did. Fortunately our minds and hearts have a way of eventually de-activating the bad and concentrating on the good, as one day, the brightest days will be when you can mentally relive your time with him and a smile will wash over you. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my Dad with a gladness that I had him for the time I did.
Take time to grieve in your own way, and know that you are not alone, and that he has travelled beyond this world's pain and suffering.

From what you say, it sounds like your dad had a good life enjoying his cars and his trips and his show visits. It also sounds like you were a big part of that enjoyment. I wish you peace and comfort, and fond memories of the good times.

Sorry for your loss. Lost my dad back in 73, 2 days before I scheduled to leave for overseas. Army gave me 10 days to go home and go to his funeral and get back to catch a flight to Nam.

Sincerest condolences to you and your family. It sounds like his dream lives on through you guys, and that's about the best thing you can say. It proves he was a family man. Which is personally all I ever aspired to be...

  27. I am sorry to hear this news also. It is comforting to hear the replies from fellow hot rodders. You had good times with him and he had a good run . Time will ease the sorrow and pictures will bring a tear and a smile at the same time. My Dad passed on his 50th birthday ....I was 18 and just learned cpr .....Mom was baking a cake when he came in and collapsed .....that was 1972 and the sorrow is still there. God Bless you and your family ....and yes the cows do know .....take one of Dads shirts near them and see how they react. My condolences and prayers said. Greg.

  29. Sorry to read about the loss of your Dad.
As weeks, months and years go by, you'll suddenly find yourself laughing at the most inappropriate of times, it'll be a memory of your Dad.
Enjoy them when they appear, because they're great
    Take care
