It was nice briefly meeting you Jeff. I didn't want to be a bother while you were working the line, so I thought I would catch you at the end for a visit. As mentioned... you were doing a fuel pump replacement, so that never happened. I am glad that you got everyone back on the road.

It was a great day and we had a blast! Lee's car performed perfectly, even though it isn't going to win a drag race any time soon.:p It's a cruiser! Here's a photo of our gang getting ready to saddle up. IMG_6016.jpg

  2. Yep, nice meeting you too Dave! The end is where we always get to catch up with everyone and I definitely missed out on that. As we were approaching Crane, we passed almost all the cars heading in the opposite direction. It did create somewhat of a rolling car show though. Thanks for posting the pic. I barely got to talk to Lee too and never did get to check out the Safari. I'm sure we will get another chance to meet up again soon. I'll be in Dewey early next month and hoping to catch up with several I missed on this trip.

[IMG] From the smile it looks like your co-pilot was having a good time. Great to get the family making memories.

  6. I think she had fun and was also a co-pilot for my son in this quick video I took too. Hopefully it works since I am no expert on youtube...

  7. I didn't take ANY pics, so I won't be starting a SWMO HRH thread.

Awesome car ! Always liked them . My dad had one back in the day.

  9. Jeff, you were mentioned in this youtube video @gbrown just posted

  10. Appears the geese at work either like or dislike my car all depending on how you interpret this. I'm just glad I didn't wash it at lunch like I considered. :D I guess I will see if the ride home blows it off.

I would find out what goose is responsible. Grab it and rub their face in it. I bet they won’t do that again. I have a lot of good suggestions.

  15. That could be true...I didn't see any crap on any Chevy's nearby.

LOL! I'll try that today...especially if it happens again. :D On a related note, I found that driving highways speed (plus some ) didn't blow it off just for reference in case anyone was wondering.

No doubt. And, we even have some "pet" ones at home. I can't get away from them.

  17. Been driving in the rain for several days again and decided to clean it back up at lunch for the first time after getting back from Springfield a couple weeks ago. Ended up being a nice spring night and I needed a drive after one of those days...when I noticed a pretty cool photo opportunity.

  21. Thanks guys. I took a few more, but that one above was my favorite. We had a pretty amazing sunset last night that made for a really cool background.

  23. okay, that thunderbird/ranchero is sweet! Great pics by the way...

  24. Not sure yet Dave... Just found a bump on a tire on the bird. Appears that skinny whites are in its near future...like tomorrow. Wide whites were nice while they lasted...about a month.

  25. Oh man, that stinks!! Just had my truck in today suspecting the same thing but I lucked out and all was ok.

  26. Next tire version...I liked the wide whites better so far, but these are definitely more affordable and practical. And, most importantly, they are new and should last until I wear them out.

  27. One more pic, since I needed a drive tonight. Sure drives better with round tires. :D 4B8809F6-8965-4E1D-BD30-9E42D138CD1B.jpeg

Looks good Jeff. I am out for this weekend. I haven't been home in a month. Better stay here for a bit and at least do some yard work.
