A "little" snip took off too much of a corner (no hiding it), just ordered more material.

Hey guy's, I appreciate you hanging with me. I'm in that age group (get of my lawn!) when you have to be ready when life insists that you adjust. My wife has been having dizzy spells, headaches, tremors, weakness and fatigue going on over three years now, with out any explanation. Very challenging and stressful. This morning she got me up at 5:30 to tell me that we need to head for the ER, she was experiencing unexplainable weakness on her r. side.

The good news is for the first time she's being kept over night to do some tests, which means we might find out what is behind all these mysterious ailments. Those who have been on board from the beginning know that if she wasn't part of this, it wouldn't have happened.

  3. Oh man, Jerry!! Praying right this minute!! Hoping you get some answers quickly as to what the trouble is and there is a good solution to the problem!

    Prayers sent to your wife.

  5. Yikes!, that’ll put a crimp in your plans alright. It’s good that your wife is being kept overnight for testing and observation. Hopefully the doctors can get to the bottom of this. Both of you will be in my prayers tonight. Take care.

OK, the hospital stay produced an x-ray of her throat that showed a little anomaly that will fix a nasty cough when removed. We need to find a competent migraine specialist in Fort Worth. My search online did turn up an acupuncturist that she had been seeing until covid hit. She was getting results with him and after an appointment today is feeling better, we'll see. We really need an appointment with a specialist that someone is having success with.

Getting ready to spray trim adhesive on both sides of that corner. You can't be too careful with the masking, a thorough job will save you a lot of grief later.

Many thanks for the good thoughts and prayers.

  12. Praying for a quick and "easy" resolution to your wife's throat trouble and that she can get some relief from the migraines!

  13. Glad to hear your wife is doing better. Hopefully the rest will be resolved sooner rather than later. Good luck with your project.

My wife wants everybody to know, that she really appreciates the comments and prayers. After her first visit earlier this week to the acupuncturist she's been feeling better each day. So much, that she will see him today again.

The header is good, here is a look as well, at the only original pic that I have.

  18. Looking good sir. I’m glad your wife is feeling better. Just remember two things, she’s always right and don’t make her angry.

You know Jer, i can understand ur predicament, having just turned 61 years I am beginning to notice small issues with my current build that ,when I was a youngster, would never have bothered me....is this a age related condition? Oh well,so be it..the car looks great, so c'mon and lets get started on the next project....maybe a "Kopper Kart" clone?...You can do it...

So, we say goodbye to our cozy little cave that's filled with all kinds of interesting things. It was nice (?) to visit, but I sure didn't intend to spend so much time there, AND I have zero interest in pursuing my apprenticeship program in custom upholstery. We actually are closing in on our target.

The doc explains that the first covid shot primes your body for the second shot which is the "killer" that's let loose to seek out any thing that it thinks doesn't belong in your body, like (in this case) frayed nerve ends, what fun.

It's time for an update, and it's a great one. As I have stated earlier my wife has been plagued with these symptoms that are mysterious and won't go away, for many years. We've all but given up on the medical community.

Enter son Dan (what a blessing he is). He say's 'OK, I NEED TO KNOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS AND HOW EVERYTHING IS". This includes all doctor visits etc. He monitored our visit with the doctor last week on his phone, and he had questions and input.

This produced a blood draw that eventually revealed poly myalgia rheumatica is one of the main culprits. Easily treated with a steriod. The response was dramatic, the wife was "a different person" the next day, and increasingly better every day thereafter. That leaves a dramatic cough that was treated by antibiotics.

We are exploring this new reality each day, hoping that ALL the maladies eventually are gone. We are most appreciative of your thoughts and prayer's on this, we owe ya.

That great that your wife is feeling so much better. Just reinforcing the saying about you being your own best advocate. Ask questions that force the doctors that look a little further. Good news.
