Hot Rods Pics of '63/'64ish Corvette Gassers??

    There are probably quite a few, Marrs Brothers comes to mind. But by the time folks were building gassers out of 63 to 67 cars, gassers were probably around stock height or lower. And even if the had a tube axle, they didn't sit high enough for you to see it.

  5. 'Nother coupe... not a Gasser, but a drag car - I don't recall where I got this pic from (apologies to the photographer). Also, a "toon" I did of my own car (kind of a gasser and another coupe). :eek:

    i just ran into a guy last nite at the local cruise nite he had a 55 or 56 corvette gasser last year now he has a 63 split window i seen it last night it was pretty bad ass ..ill get pics next week of it and post em up

    i have a friend that lives up north from me that has a 56 (not what you where lookinf for) corvette gasser that was a garage find here localy, he bought it from the original owner and builders wife i have a picture some where on her ill see i i can find it

    This car actually ran A/MSP. Had a late hemi in it.

    Pretty much correct. They ran MSP in the early-mid sixties, by the time those classes were eliminated and those amalgamated into Gas classes, '65-'66, ride heights were on the way down. Unless of course, you mean bullshit "gassers".

    FWIW, SP on the side of the stingray someone posted stands for sport production, which was the equivalent of stock class for sports cars, MSP was modified sports production. NHRA eliminated both of these classes around '65-'66, SP was rolled into stock eliminator, MSP was rolled into Gas.
