What's the upholstery plan? What are you gonna use for foam and such?

I have a friend doing the upholstery. I thought about buying a machine and attempting it myself but chose in the end to have him do it. The pieces are starting to come back now and they look great.

  9. The seats in my 27 Modified are cut down DC3. I made those buttons to fill the dimpled holes. With the padded sides they are now really comfortable but I still have the clip on back rest cushions and leather covers if I need them. It was all "no sew".

Going to stitch up some seat squab covers as part of learning to make my own tonneau and hood. IMG_20210314_144508029.jpeg

Expertly stitched by the pride of Pawtucket Kobe B. I can't wait to get the rest of the pieces installed this weekend.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. This has turned out to be a really fun project, in fact I haven't heard a negative word about it, which is unusual in the hot rod world these days.

Here's an East is Neat plate plaque I made. If there's any interest I may make a few more.

I definitely like the Model A front crossmember set up. Gives the car some unique character and not a cookie cutter T bucket style like most of the other T's out there. Very well done build. I like it.

Putting some shakedown miles on the car. So far so good.

Nice job, all the way through.
I've 'brought some back', in 1982 one '23 T in particular, made me itch for a week. T had a 'poop deck' that was torn, and missing a chunk. Used heavy 'glass cloth, and bonding resin...by the time I got to the finishing resin, the block sanding and the glaze...then the rest...
I longed for some rust, (no wonder guys build steel cars!)
Still, the 'T' turned out, nice little turtledeck style.
I have a new old 'glass 'T' bucket and turtledeck in my loft as we speak...(I never learn) Perfect little around town rod, frame is done, wife still working 'til August. She'll probably do that one, while she takes a break from our '47 Ford taildragger...

@gonzo, you said you haven't gotten bad feedback on the car. well Im gonna give you some.

I'm pissed that you shortened the wheelbase like that. It looks SO DAMNED GOOD it makes me regret not shortening mine like I had thought about.

Haha, I did redo my front end three times.
One of the cool thing about Ts is that there is no right way to do it, they can look good either way.

your t looks great i am wondering if you used a straight front cross member ,but i didn't read the whole thread ,wondering if you would of had a little more rake.but then i don't know what clearance issues you have with tie rods and such.it looks great.

Just binged the thread, glad it’s only 12 pages so far. This T is awesome! Everything is working together for a great look.

Just found this thread, what a cool little car! Man, with that short wheelbase and the hair pins it must handle like a slot car. Looks great, and that interior came out bitchin.

Indeed but I don't think I'll be setting any land speed records with this car. It pulls hardest in the top end right when it gets scary to go that fast.

Thanks, it handles great. Super fun little car.
