Boy do the photos make my wife and I homesick for our adopted country. Makes us miss our old friend Harry Wright, R.I.P. Harry. Glad to see Oz Hot Rodding is in good hands. Thanks for the coverage of the event. Wish we could of been there, USMERCUTE.

I do have some more photos I will get to and do an update on that, its oh so close to paint, it got its final coat of primer for the body and associated parts yesterday and now will be wet rubbed on Thursday, hoping its got paint on it withing the next few weeks. Then just sort out the chassis. I think he's off to by the top coat today.

Nothing Mark. It was bloody cold at that time of the morning (by our standards, by yours it was nice mild day LOL) and I've got all my Winter gear on. I was just poking shit at Peddro who was wandering around with 2 mobile phones-his and Coreys- taking pics.

Back in the early 60's that roadster was heavily channelled with original rear fenders welded on high up on the rear quarters and running a nicely detailed and very strong flatty. Was one of the nicest rods on the road and also one of the faster cars at the early drags. Lot of work involved in fixing those rear quarters to its current condition.

It never ceases to amaze how the Aussie's "get it"...not a street rod in the bunch:D We should be so fortunate here in the U.S.:(

  14. Stay warm, we are getting longer days and warmer weather. I am waiting for Ted to paint some stuff so I can get both 32’s on the road. Looks like you guys had a great run before your Winter gets there.

They manufactured several thousand in the USSR, but most were lost during the war.

Thanks again for organising the run and for my invitation. It only took me 11 years to go on the run, but I am glad I did - thanks also go out to the guys at the meeting point, who led the way to the starting point, and to all the entrants who embraced the spirit of the run and made the whole event a hoot.
The diversity of cars at the run was fantastic - 3 banger powered Model A coupes, a ton of flatheads, Y-blocks, a poly, and even a stovebolt powered roadster - great to see hot rodding in Australia is not painting by numbers.

    Until next year ........

Stogy, it's a Dodge coupe - all steel Budd body, 1929 year I think. Martin the owner found it when he was on a US trip, brought it back to Australia and built it with the Caddy engine.
