...such a cool bit of history...and quite the Looker at that...

Anybody know if those Louvers on the hood are chrome?

I see a flaming demon like head looking forward in those flames with the 2 angled white areas at the front of the hood being the eyes...I'm sure this has been noted and may have been exactly what Von Had in mind when he did them...

...it's truly interesting trying to make sense or should I say connect the racers that are called for what they historically are...now the Blue #82 is a restoration of one of 2 Estes racers by sources connected to the racer back in the day...awesome...

    image-placeholder-title.jpg

...Hey Clark!!...This I suspect is the blue one beautifully resurrected but the Grille is slightly different, perhaps something changed on that racer in its evolution or its just lighting and camera angle and Stogy's coke bottle bottom glasses...:D...now the darker image I suspect is Car #2 as it shares similarities but many differences...

Not being critical in any way just looking deeper into the history while admiring the Louvers...;)

You have come to a great Thread to do just that...

I share lots of Stockers as they are...and they certainly have style with function...mind you some are dummies such as 57 and 58 Chevys and even they make the cut as they are inspirational Louvers...
Thanks for your appreciation and sharing...nice Corvair 61...;)

So Jack you've been around Hotrods for a long time I like to refer to you fellas as veterans of what we revere here...you experienced what many of us can only imagine and recreate...nothing wrong with that either...I consider myself fortunate to experience and witness this Vintage Hotrod/Custom era at the Hamb and mingling with all of you young and old...and witnessing the diversity of these movements by region...

You have a great eye and hand for getting things right...it shows...thanks for sharing the greatness coming from your Shop...

Oh and I read you saw a local Hotrod in 54 at 12yrs old and 20 years later it was yours...a Deuce 3w to boot...not the first time I've read of such aligning of Stars...

Yes I am a Friend and I'd say there are many more here that think similarly...

    Thanks For Sharing...
