So, I know about the coupe's engine and speedo cameo in California Kid ( which I guess was a TV special ) and I've seen the pics from the Emergency! episode. Are there any other shows you're aware of that it appeared in?

On the topic of Milner's coupe facts, anybody reading this thread know Jeff Hamrick @Graffiti32 on a personal level? Seems to me he's got the most movie accurate clone. Couple weeks ago I was looking at some old pics and came across an important detail that I feel has been overlooked by all the clone builders. I spent the better part of a week then researching said detail to figure out what I was looking at and also to back up this claim. I've started a conversation with Graffiti32 on here to track progress of this search, nothing. I emailed him from his blog info, nothing. I emailed Mark from the Kip Pullman blog thinking they might be buddies, nothing. Then I emailed the guy that built the "Naked Milner" annnd nothing.

So are these dudes all too semi-famous to mingle with us normal Graffiti nerds anymore? Or are they that busy and I'm just too impatient? Either way, if you know Jeff, give him a shout for me and tell him to check out what I found. I think it'll really set his build apart accuracy wise. After I get a reply, then I'll spill the beans for the rest of you :D

  3. The soundtrack of the 55 on Paradise Rd. has been used in a couple of shows, one being "King of the Mountain" where Dennis Hopper (Cal) is circling the Porche in the dirt right before the final race.

It's not a car, but I found this in the South Dakota digital archive. It's in Brookings, SD.

I gotta rewatch that. Wasn't he in some wild hacked up "Corvette Summer" looking vette ha. Too bad they didn't have some Super Stock 409 sound clips to dub over the 55 scenes for us accuracy nerds.

How authentic are they? I have been looking for an Ansen (?) horn/steering wheel cap. Does he have any?

    Looks like this:

It's likely an Ansen wheel. It was debated a bit, long ago, and a forum or two took off on that it was a Covico but from the little I know, I assume it's an Ansen. The restoration/historian folks would likely know better.

I do know the cap is an Ansen or Ansen sold them (could be a few different sellers putting their name on it). I've seen an ad from way back.

I had a wheel like the one you posted but the chrome wasn’t as shiny. It wasn’t worn it just didn’t shine like the one above. I thought mine was a Covico. It had no markings

    It’s a Grant, contrary to popular belief: 5F2C2169-FA32-4608-8387-7034ECD071A8.jpeg C90D3E93-D1B5-426F-B063-5CC89098F45C.jpeg 211101E1-497E-41F2-87B7-BBB869681AB1.jpeg 1BAFFA98-7843-491C-A201-08C600075EDC.jpeg

Are Covico wheels the only brand with evenly spaced spokes?

    from Mesa, AZ

I remember that summer a bunch of us car guys were cruising Sonoma Blvdin Vallejo when we heard they were filming the movie in Petaluma. We all drove down to check it out. The city had the area closed off and they were only allowing period correct cars in to cruise. Several of us parked on a side street and walked over to the main drag. We saw several camera cars driving up and down the Ave but didn’t see any of the movie cars.

Notmanyhotrods were around in those days given the cool cars at the time were Z28s, LS6 Chevelles, 440 six pac Cudas. Don’t know if any Vallejo cars got in the movie.

Copper color ones are few and far between. Very cool wheel! 448CE1B1-19B0-4791-BC4C-225C8C2FDC02.jpeg
