I'm a little bit slow, but just found out I can get Youtube on my big screen. Wife goes to be early to watch her shows and that leaves me to watch what I want. I'm a dedicated lover of dogs, and have been watching the rescues mostly since finding YT on the big screen. Last night though I caught the 2021 GoodGuys in the Texas Motor Speedway. Few comments from a Washington guy. Hell of a venue, couple of hundred thousand cars, wow! You boys are into trucks more than us yanks', another wow! Filming was less than Steller to be sure. (Walked right by a stupendous 30/31 Ford roadster to shoot a rusted hulk of a Ford truck) and many more such transgressions. Camera guy was of the generation behind us old timers because of major emphasis on Muscle Cars, (which is okay with me, just not my cup of tea) Very few HAMB era cars of any type filmed although in the distance I saw a lot that could have been. It must have run well in excess of an hour, and was great to take in, thanks to who ever filmed it and put it on YT.
That cover photo of the 47 Cadillac was a tease, like when you see a preview for a movie, and all the funny parts were in the preview, but the movie itself sucks.
Must not be any Texas HAMBERS, Huh???? I finally got my 3 window on the road after 22 years of building it, in the summer of 2017. I have been wanting to get it to GG's here in Puyallup since and couldn't for one reason or another and was hoping to do so this July. Just one day though and if it is anything like this one I spoke to and wrote of, I'll pass or just come back home. Woops just noticed you Dan Hay.
After a year with hardly any car shows I can honestly say I enjoyed that! They aren't all my style but this is what keeps the hobby alive and the parts stores open. I can appreciate it, thanks Larry. Beggers cant be choosers, and not a priii or tezzla in sight!
Well those videos are usually made by individuals who show what they like or relate to rather than a full spectrum of interesting cars. Larry I wouldn't be too worried about finding a batch of cars to park close to that fit in your comfort zone at Puyallup. The gold chain power parkers start lining up way before daylight to get the "prime spots" but my favorite cars always seem to end up back by the roller coaster on the grass back there.
