    Could that be from pancaking the hood? The rest of the proportions except the roof look so stock (to me anyway).

    I agree. I’m building mine with a similar stance (vintage) and feel that it’s going to be such an oddball by current builds, but right for the car and period I’m shooting for. And I also agree with Chryslerfan55

    they sectioned it above the beauty line. Look at the side profile of the two mercs. You can see the gap between the bottom of the window opening to the beauty line is smaller than the lower merc. thats what makes the section stand out. Also if they had just pancaked the hood it would have a tapering down look as it had to match at the cowl and then come down.
