I was just checking my Facebook page and it sounds like both Ron Colson and Doug Thorley have passed away.

 

Damn 2 more gone. RIP

Sad news, two Hall of Famers.

Ron Colson ran a cool ‘40? Studebaker coupe in Gas class, he drove both small and big block Chevy FED’s and a slew of funny cars including the Chi-Town Hustler and Hawaiian. If that wasn’t enough of a resume he went on to book races, was a track consultant to many and a great story teller too.

Ron also sat on the Ogle County Board for a number of years. He will be missed.
