I have always dug the tail dragger stance. It's not for everyone, but it makes me go to my happy place.

What do you think makes the best taildraggers? Me? 1940's era Chevy/Buick coupes and 35/36 and 46-48 Fords.

They're all great. It's like picking blondes, brunettes or redheads; they're all gorgeous, just different.

That said, I've never been a fan of filled quarter windows.

  7. I think invisible rear tires is what "makes the best" taildragger, independent of make/model.

I like the tail dragger look a lot, but I'm struggling to recall their heyday years in the midwest.

    Any help?

  10. Probably half the cars posted on here so far are sitting flat on the ground.

Anything with skirts. Otherwise it looks broken! Unless its got skirts and a rake, then it looks broken the other way! Larry

The post I needed to see tonight. I hope to be a player in this game. I have a lot to learn about customs coming from the hot rod side!

  17. That's a pity. I guess if you like a pic you have to save it straight away, don't assume it will still be there in 6 months.:(

Any photos of 41 Pontiac tail draggers? That's how I'd like to build mine.....With full fade-aways.

Ass end has to be down. Front end is up. Just like a speed boat moving in water. IMG_20200923_0001.jpg

Maybe they should start another thread called Slammed.
