Built this "woodie" pedal car a few years ago as a give-away at club's annual Car Show.
Built from scratch except hood, grille & chassis. Curly Maple & Birch left over from a Grandfather Clock project. pedal41.jpg pedal42.jpg pedal43.jpg pedal44.jpg pedal45.jpg

  4. My High School Woodie was just like this one
I had a 38 La Salle Hearse, Wood carved curtains, big fun at the Drive-in and cruising the school. Got it from a Junk Yard for $400.

  23. My old 33 Dodge Woodie. It was an original driver. Some guy heard that I had it. And he offered me some, { I thought } crazy money for it. I { WOOD } have just Hot Rodded it. lol 2476.jpg 2474.jpg 2475.jpg

My pops has a 28-9 model A four door the wood structure is just about gone from rot. I would like to build a phantom woodie by using the weird four door cowl and hood.

The townsite is called Pequaming. I last visited in the late 60's. Beautiful spot right on Lake Superior. Water tower with Ford logo still stands according to Mich. tourist website. Was a very cool ghost town when I was there, may have still been owned by Ford at that time. There were still a lot of old relics of the past around, but unfortunately no deuce coupe bodies to be found. Spent a couple hours just wandering around looking at old stuff and walking the cleanest beach you'll ever see. From what I see on the net it has been turned into summer homes but some of the old Ford structures still stand, including a large powerhouse and the water tower.
