Looking to do a mild custom. I want a Tudor but I see more 4 doors. Traditionally two doors do better. What you think. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I like the Tudors. I think they built more 2 door cars (shoeboxes) than they did 4 door cars. It shouldn't be that hard to find a Tudor depending on what shape you want it in to begin with.
Actually the 49-51 Ford 2-door sedans are funny looking, to me at least. Almost like the rear doors of a 4-door were welded shut.

I prefer the coupes, this is the one I had. The coupes have a shorter roof and much small quarter window. HRP
That is a'50 Sedan. I have a '51 Sedan and prefer them over the coupe due to the extra room in the back seat for "activities'.
To me, the faux rear side quarter window makes the tudors look extremely awkward. Given your choice, I would do a Fordor. However, as has been said before, a coupe is preferable, unless you can find a '51 Victoria which in my opinion, is the best looking "shoebox", bar none.
Maybe this will help with your decision. Here's some comparison between 2 and 4 door sedans. then there's the coupe
As customs go I personally think it’s a wash. If doing a fordoor I would definitely make suicide rear doors. You got to be different. Also a Merc grille surround. 4 swivel seats would finish it for me..
