Projects Are C Cab Builds Allowed?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by FunnyCar65, Nov 25, 2018.

  1. I think what makes these things interesting (at least to me) is picking a good theme to build it around.

Are you going to be staining it or painting it?

Going to be neat for sure.

Would this "C" cab be on topic if it had early wheels, proper tail lights, and was painted gloss black?

I'm waiting for a guy to finish a fiberglass 23 T cowl for me. After I finish up the wood work, it will get fiberglassed over. Then bodywork primed and painted. It will be themed around a Custom Paint shop delivery truck.

I have always wondered what keeps them from exploding at speed. They look like they need a pressurization door.

I couldn't find a cowl that I liked so I sculpted my own out of Styrofoam insulation and fiberglassed 67829836_10215316459166840_399916671357157376_o.jpg 69243102_10215316459966860_4825673967857565696_o.jpg 67696588_10215241923583497_7760272568270979072_o.jpg 67894104_10215242460356916_5960553160962473984_o.jpg 67104713_10215260418965870_2785820593977556992_o.jpg it.

Designed the rear step and globe pieces had them waterjet cut, then I welded them together. 65905542_10215053934883897_671514468827529216_o.jpg 66438114_10215060917378455_385509740433637376_o.jpg 68283085_10215293683277457_37139832043995136_o.jpg 81805667_10216322453916080_8398603355265433600_n.jpg 82769302_10216458285791792_2357574507314544640_o (1).jpg 82407483_10216514616280019_3871195366963544064_n.jpg

Just a couple of frame, body mount and buggy spring mount photos. I'm wanting everything to have a one off and custom feel. It will have a 60's Show Rod feel so every weld and seam will be ground and smooth. No surface will be untouched and either custom painted or chromed/ polished. 60136302_10214676535689153_2017524792390844416_o.jpg 60084786_10214676534049112_201766869097512960_o.jpg 60596278_10214676535409146_8246962628572741632_o.jpg 66504712_10215107487382676_7343358804358070272_o.jpg 60068072_10214676535609151_1843356889216188416_o.jpg

At one time fellow Hamber Allen owned the Andy Brizio C cab in 1976 to 1978 and again from 1999 to 2000 and I believe it was also owned by John Bonham, HRP

C cabs just way too street roddy for me I guess. Cool but I despise the 70s trends these days... I have seen a very traditional C cab on A frame and it was sick...

Tads 25t works for a pre65 and I like it except for the exhaust but that is minor. Overall it works

  27. It will be a blast when you take that first test drive. Our hobby has many rewards.
First is the satisfaction of building and the first
Drive. Then the the social side with fellow hot rodders.
