Had this Ram head on my toy shelf so last night I mounted it on a piece of old maple.

  2. I think I posted these in another thread on hood ornaments but I guess I'll post them again.
#1 is a group of reproduction 1935 Pontiac hood ornaments that were actually the caps of Avon aftershave bottles.
#2 is a 1954-55 Olds hood ornament that I re-painted and used as a racer. It was way too slow to compete.
#3 is the original hood ornament off my Safari. The Lucite is all cracked so I stabilized it with clear epoxy and decorated it a bit and then mounted it on the roof.
#4 is one I made out of Lexan and mounted it to the hood.It lights up too.
#5 Another one I made out of wood.
    #6 The last one I bought at a flea market.I think it may have been on a Whippet but I'm not sure. 35Pontiac3.jpg 55OldsRacer.jpg 55Pontiac99.jpg ClearHoodOrnament87.jpg Paint100Hood3.jpg RustyDog$5 001.jpg

Found this in a box of swap meet parts. The jaw moves up and down. I mounted it on the stone base. Can anybody give me any info? Thanks

Those are great. A shame we can't have nice things like those today.

A few more pieces I made up last week. Really like the way the early Chevrolet wheel grease cap one turned out.
Found some cool original Lakewood script I had for the Corvair lovers.

I collect '37 ford aftermarket hood ornaments..here are some of my collection. the first one is a model "Franklin" the Franklin company I imagine was the company that made a lot of these. there were 23 different ornaments for the '37 ford.. and I haven't scraped the surface of them, a ton of them are crazy rare..a few here are very rare as well.
