Need information on how to add gear indicator to a stock '40 Ford column.
My tranny is a turbo 350 (3 speed).
This must have come up before?
I know Limeworks makes one but looks a little hokey.
    No offense to H.A.M.B.

Classic Instruments make a 2 1/16" gauge which suited the 727 trans in my 32. Similar styling to standard S-W gauges and didn't look out of place beside the trans temp S-W gauge hanging under the 40 dash. Miles better than all that digital street rodder stuff LOL
Check it out and if you need it I still have the box and details which came with it. Took a bit to make the bracket to mount it on the trans but you're a hot rodder??

I found a DRNDL for my C-4 and attached it to my '41 dash with a magnetic strip then added a home made plactic pointer off the shifter tube
