Do you guys know when they started making the dagger dipstick? Would one be correct for a car built between 63-65?

  3. Bought my Cal Custom covers on the HAMB in 2013 for $65. I polished and painted them. They came with proper baffles for PCV and breather to work with my Gen 1 crate motor.

The Cal Custom version is a little different than the ones George was hawking. I would bet theirs came out within a year, of when his hit the market. I don’t have my old magazines readily at hand to confirm it though. E803B7E6-E020-4357-B181-B502FA6EEE73.jpeg

I have a later version around here someplace, heavy, unattractive and you have to sacrifice a dipstick to use it, doubt I ever will.
But I would consider using the earlier "oil" handle, much more appealing style

I've got this "Woody" knob with all the bits and 5 shift pattern stickers, still *factory fresh* in the original bubble card. :p

Bowie, would you be interested in giving up one of those white barrel knobs? I could throw $ at ya, or trade one of another color (as long as its black, or wood!)

Had to buy an entire rough parts car to get them, but I got these Pontiac Cal Custom covers recently, to use on my '65 Tempest. The Chevy ones seem pretty common, as do the small block Ford, but Pontiac covers seem to be pretty few and far between, at least where I've been looking.

My 10-10 scoop. Always loved this style. Jury is still out whether to install on the truck or not (it’s just sitting there for now for review). If installed I’d be a poser! 0BA61659-A110-451A-B47D-3C648ED5446D.jpeg

Just my opinion, but I think that hood needs something bigger, like may 012.JPG
be a late '50s Ford big truck scoop.

My Cal Custom staggered hole SBC valve covers and adaptors to use on later, straight across heads.

Yeah I kind of noticed that too. One reason it’s still just sitting there. Now if it was a ‘55 Chevy car….

i suppose it doesn't help that there are guy like me out there. i snagged a set of those at a swap meet a year or so ago because the price was right. I don't have a Poncho to put them on, and might never.
