I often wondered about that car when I first saw it featured in a magazine. I still wonder if FM thought what he was doing to it was cool or if he thought it actually looked good.

I can imagine him saying "that looks good so lets add something else to it that will make it look better".

Me too! The second exhaust above the rear window might be a bit much but other than that it's perfect!

The Owner told Builder he really wanted portholes like a Buick. This is what he got back.

What's crazy is that someone spent a lot of time, energy and money to build that hideous beast.

No place to drop anchor so that was the next best thing.

Wish there was a photo from the front so I could see if it also has torpedo tubes.

That’s a great question. Looks like a bad attempt to turn an ugly 80s car into retro styling. Some things don’t mix.

I do say every one to their own but I do wonder what must go through someones mind to design and build what I am sure most people think is a Butt Ugly Kustom.

The most customized Aussie car in our history, reinterpreted /butchered as a custom in the 90s and I remember when that butt ugly car came out, it was called “Jigsaw” it’s workmanship was impeccable,,, but it was just turd looking,at a 90s take on a 50s custom, yet it won everything but still wrong in every way aesthetically,,,,Rex Webster did a better one at the same time.....and it was called “high tech” but it was more old school yet billet wheels,it still looked old school custom

I saw the gayload in Ocala Florida in 1979 at a museum (really Silver Springs) and 3 were biult ,only two bodies and one frame.I can't remember if both cars were there, anyway the place closed up a couple years later and haven't heard of them since..Now ,we have the replacement EL MATADOR 39 ford FOR SALE here in Florida, somewhere in a marion or citrus county.Either on FB or on craigsliat
