Can’t explain it but I can say he looks better now than I did at 53.

Such a great build going on here!

OUTSTANDING !!!! Reminds me of a local 36 that had a "full house" 312 y in it back in the 60's. The owner put it in the barn years ago & passed away last year . The car has vanished....
Your entire concept is fantastic. Is that your "180" .....?

Have you come up with a way to drive the generator? Your car is beyond badass!

Crazy cool project! Gene was 9 years old when that car was built...even crazier. I saw something interesting that might be a fit when you start dealing with the dash & gauges. Some guy on Ebay (not me) very recently constructed what appears to be a repop of Fenzel supercharger gauge. I never realized that such a thing existed & it would be interesting to hear the story about it. Anyway, it'd be a nice functional touch to your dash.

Thanks. My partner wanted to sell it last year and after the intervention he got his mind straight “what we have here is failure to communicate “

This is one very cool looking ride.
I am guessing the torque rod will necessitate some work to the floor at the rear?

Yes. A custom bracket to hold it off to the side that will act as a tensioner as well... also had to do some modifications to the mechanical fan off a truck.... I'll post up some pics of it soon... that was the tricky part because most the frenzels I see are not on running cars just engines on stands...

What happens when the one rear wheel goes up and the other goes down? That big bolt on the front of the wishbones just twists? Or do the wishbones bend?

Many years ago I built a similar setup for my 40 tudor. I welded the yoke and ball from a front wishbone to the rear arms. Then used a couple wishbone ball caps to create a socket in the crossmember for the rubber ball. It gives complete, unhindered movement in all directions.

Might want to re-examine that design.
