I have some albums but I haven't updated in years. There hasn't been much to update but if I get some time I'll add to them.

I did when I joined but didn't figure out how to add pictures. LOL. I read this and thanks to Stogy I now have two albums with pictures.

....I think everyone does, Jeff, including myself. That's sorta why I started this thread, to subtly remind folks to take advantage of this cool aspect of the site that Ryan has created. I love going to people's profile page and checking out their albums. Adds a new dimension to getting to know them and their interests.........Don.

I used to post to albums on my page, and theres a decent amount there, but honestly I just post to Instagram now.

What is the difference between a HAMB Build feature and an "Album"? Why do some people like Albums?

 

That works with cellphones only, right?

 

Im not sure. I dont see why you couldnt use a computer. Id also say if your a car guy smart phones are awesome. Camera, look shit up, call the parts store while laying under the car, search part numbers. Its a game changer. I got my first one over a decade ago and would never go back.

 

I'd rather spend the money on TWO sets of '32 frame rails. I'd loose the thing or the dog would eat it. I did answer one for the first time yesterday WITHOUT any instruction from the owner who I drove to the local eye doctor for surgery. With everyone walking around with cell phones how come I've never seen anyone with an owners manual? Guess I was borne too long ago. Bob

 

I've posted a little to my albums but like everyone else I forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder, I added some stuff today. Right now, I've got a whole lot of my photos held hostage on my old computer. I backed everything up to our external hard drive but the new computer doesn't recognize it.
I still have a lot to learn about albums. It took me forever to get the newly posted photos in the logical order. I uploaded them in the order I wanted but they ended up in the reverse order - 1st one entered at the bottom, last one entered at the top.

I had no idea I could create albums. Never thought about it, maybe i should get going on an album.

I believe the way I share and post my pics they get a message across and they'll be around till I'm dust in the wind and then some...The Threads are My Journey and Album here, thanks for sharing and spreading the Gospel...its the Hamb...Oh Yeah!!...I have met many through sharing their pics in Threads I visit...and some I can only thank in Spirit...

I like to give mention to recognize Hambers if I find a connection to an image directly to them that is a family heirloom its priceless to this Gearhead...

Could someone explain WHY you would start an Album? Once you have one WHO would look at it and WHY? Just trying to understand what is going on. Bob

 

Never used the feature and I have been here for over 20 years. When I stumble upon one however I always wonder why the great content wasn't shared on the main board!?!?! There is one LSR roadster in particular that deserved its own thread and I bet only a handful of folks have viewed it.

 

..........If nothing else, it's a place to store images that you might want to access later and perhaps post. For myself, if I'm interacting with someone on here, I like to take a look at their albums if they have created any just to see what their interests might be. It's just another way to get to know and enjoy other folks on here..........Don.

 

Ok, Thanks, sounds good. Not anywhere near as spooky as the "People I might Know" on FB that I have to delete every time I visit a local history site. Bob
