With the awesome rake that you have, you need a chop to complete the "sinister mean nasty" look.

With discipline this coupe could be as righteous as Phil's example. Not many hot rodders are disciplined.

The floors are done, firewall is in and finished. The hood is on and aligned. Ir's moving along.

Not going to run a front spreader bar so Nelson made a custom front splash shield. It's going to make for a nice clean look.

I’m glad to see that all of the haters have simmered down. This is going to be one undeniably gorgeous car. IMO, a decent 3 or 4” off the top would nail the look. Low, raked, and chopped make for a perfectly proportioned coupe. Can’t wait to see how this comes together. Congrats!

I agree. 4" would be wicked on this car.

I love the restraint it takes to not chop it.

Late to the party but a question on the chassis please? - what does Henry do to reinforce the front of the rails after relieving such a BIG 'C' section in them for the spring? At this highly stressed point ( engine weight / braking force ) there is basically little beam strength left to stop the front rails buckling under load unless there is a massive hunk of steel rod or similar shoved up inside what's left of the rails!!!

You probably already re-glanced through the thread by now but, the frame is boxed up to the flat crossmember. I would look for Mr. Richards (Talent like that should be referred to as Mr.) to box the front horns like on most of the other Steadfast chassis.

Iron Trap's approach to the C-notch:

As far as the stance ... It's Ohio boys, we like stance. Plain and Simple!
Questioning whether this car will be drivable really seems quite ridiculous.

My thoughts. If a man or woman works all his her life and ends up with funds to bye and have a rod built then fair play. It’s much better than a stalled project like mine. Life’s to short shit happens. Divorce, raising three kids. House improvement. New roof as it started to leak real bad. COVID. I no if I had the chance to have it built I would. Look at all the fun I have mist by not being on the road. Fair play to you bigbangtheory. And your 32 is fantastic.

Here is the story on the car. Henry's sister Laura was on the website.... let go.... and she saw the 3 window advertised for sale in Wisconsin. They called right away and told the guy they were on there way with cash. 10 Hrs later they arrived at the guys house and couldn't believe how nice the car was. Not sure how long the guy had the car but he was selling it to finish a 72 chevelle I believe. Everything on the car was perfect, the floors (which were cut out and sold slong with the chassis he had which was not original, the motor and trans. 350-350 combo.) the wood, the chicken wire on the roof insert, even the original interior was complete and nice (and it was also sold). The only thing missing is the ash tray (of coarse) and the screws to hold the glove box door on. You would not believe the price of this car, and NO I will not say what it was. I purchased the car from Henry after he sold everything off and it was just the body and fenders and all the pieces.

Here are some pics of how the 3 window looks finished. Not sure if most on here have seen finished pics or not.
