I was too busy to take any real good photos.
The car was hard starting so I left it idling all day long,
I had 1 guy freak out when he seen my car idling with 2LBS oil pressure :)

The county law and DNR told us to stop it. I did not hear why.
I had bad understeer most of it was from the shaved ice building up before they re-plowed
The snowtire studs were OK, but I need more traction

You can not load a video directly on here, it has to be put on youtube.com and then post a link to it on here!

There would have been thousands of spectators if word got out.

I’ve seen fliers for it for weeks. The videos
On Instagram look like a lot of fun. And @Tuck with a chicken lol

I've never seen studded tires on the front before. But we don't have racing on frozen lakes around here either.

The ONLY time 15° is balmy is when it's been negative 20° for the last three weeks.

The Minnesota ice shenanigans looks like it was a an amazing day. Thanks for sharing.

After a couple weeks of 30 below makes low 50's
    darn near speedo weather.

  16. So, just in case someone might want to replicate this extravaganza, did you do quarter mile drags, or round and round. Did you time individuals or do heads up racing? Looks like just too much fun- could maybe happen in a pasture or farmer’s field- just sayin.

The map showed a straight track as well as... well I wouldn’t call it a circle but it went round and round. Two tracks on the lake

Grew up just outside the Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN for those unfamiliar with the vernacular.)

You folks had a great day. Wish I was there!

In the sixties when I lived in Michigan they had organized motorcycle racing on ice. They had a bunch of classes for different cc’s and if I remember right for studded and not studded tires. On of the things I remember was they had a culvert covered with sand and had a wood fire inside the culvert. You could stand in the sand on top of culvert to get warmed up. Don’t remember the name of the lake but within an hour of Detroit.

It's a bummer that the world has come to permits being needed and limiting crowd sizes... If I had to guess, the shutdown probably started with a noise complaint... Ya'll need to migrate further north further from citiots.
