    I've searched with no luck.
Anybody know a source for license plate frames for the early 5-3/4" x 13-1/2" plates?
Something similar to this is what I'm looking for... frame.jpg

  2. So-Cal Speed Shop shows them in their catalog.

Thanks guys! I was struggling with the interwebs. Trying every combination I could think of brought up everything but what I was searching for. Thought about Speedway but, for whatever reason, failed to check there:rolleyes:

I think the plate light was one I picked up from NAPA? Sorry for not remembering exactly as the car was built over seven years or so... doubt that will help you much in New Zealand!

  11. I'm still looking for a 5 1/2" x 13" license plate frame.

Nebraska had such a variety of plate sizes in 1932 that I have been forced to use the adjustable license plate frames. In Nebraska they started out with a narrow plate and thru out the year it grew in length as they added numbers. I'm content with the telescoping frames as they are compact and look good.

Thanks guys for providing some good leads....but, I'm striking out on finding the correct size frame. I saw the adjustable frames but, haven't figured out how they would mount to an early Ford plate bracket like this one...
licensebracket.jpg Possibly, the adjustable frames aren't intended to be used on this style bracket...?
Thinking a me-made frame project is in my future.

  15. The adjustable frame only fit's around the license plate itself, the license plate bolts on the the bracket using the existing holes in the license plate. HRP

This is a adjustable frame on our Ranch Wagon, yeah, the license plate in 1954 was a odd size too. HRP

Ah! I see now how the adjustable frames work...cool. At this point, the adjustable looks to be my only option, as all the frames I find are either the wrong size and/or the hole spacing doesn't match up.
I appreciate all you guys helping with this. Power to the HAMB!
