My Grandfather’s roadster. Picture from the family archive circa early 50’s. Interesting how they have heavy axles front and rear. Just a farm vehicle back then! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
...I was searching for the Story on Deuces related to a pic I shared and low and behold it has a Hamb connection...Hamber @Old Wolfy did a Thread regarding his story and his times around Deuces and he wasn't kidding... He hasn't been on in quite some time...hope he is doing well...here's a pic of his Canadian Bacon... Credit to Photographer, Owner
Took the Mercury out for a Saturday afternoon therapy run, about a kilometer down the road I stopped to listen to this flock of Trumpeter Swans feasting on their Thanksgiving corn leftovers after they chased off the Canadian Geese.
Dang goosenses...man that's strength in numbers... I'll bet it's Cool but your Truck grew up on it...
Well spring is almost springing... right?!?! Time for some check ins from all the Canadian bacon!! Got the itch so let’s go spring, we’re ready! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Well we are getting a stretch of temperatures around freezing but this doesn't look quite like spring yet. Phil
Was excited about spring then this happened! Weather is better now but I'm not sure if this is going to be ready in time.
...Still lubricating the garage floor aka Harley...but milder days are beginning to slooooowly creep in...yay...
Thanks Penetrator...they share a little bit of similarity...I'm slipping on my identification skills... 26 or 7 Chrysler perhaps...
that’s not always true, the last two years I was able to start driving mine the last week of May. It’s not consistent hot rod weather but feels nice to get out early... but I’m in the south too.
It started life as a 27 Chrysler business coupe that my dad bought in the early 50's. He was a farmer and decided he needed a truck more so he took out an axe and made it into one. Last year I got ahold of a rear section of a sedan and a few sets of sedan doors and decided to make it into a 2 door phaeton.
That's looking pretty cool @40ply...One visible thing of note is how much cleaner in Highboy the Transverse Spring of Henry's had over these parallels on the rear of this Tubster your working on...what's the plan 40? Full, Half or no fenders...
Rear suspension is going, I don't want anything but a nerf bar behind the rear of the body. I hoping for fenderless. It's going to look very traditional but I haven't decided completely on an engine, I'm leaning on a built flathead (inline chrysler 6 of course) but may do something that I won't be able to share on he Hamb (think electron flow )
