    So my buddy called again:

"Hey, I'm getting rid of my automotive literature, just keeping a few, come on over."

"Nah, I do all my reading online nowadays."

"C'mon man, some of these books were very expensive."

"Well what are we taking, a couple boxes?"

    "About 250. Bring a truck."

    "Oh alright. Shit."

Didn't get much of a look while loading, lot of road racing junk, but did see some interesting history books. I'll give it a once over later today when I unload and post some pics. 20210223_133227.jpg

Incidently, that toy VW appears like it might be a Bandai Japan tin toy...they're worth $50-$75 or more
    depending on condition

  13. There was a book in the library when i was in high school called how to do bodywork. It was a Peterson publication. I remember inside it had a picture of a guy block sanding the door on a T bucket and it said "so you think your car is ready for black lacquer?" I'd love to find that book again.

"Damn Few Died in Bed" may be the best book title ever considered.

I think we should nominate @blowby as the "Official HAMB Librarian". Hope he knows the Dewey Decimal system:p

Reminds me of the several dozen boxes of 1960's car magazines my uncle bought years ago; every week he would bring a few to the house for me to read. My parents weren't too happy about it, but I learned a lot from reading those!
