I thought it was about time to try and contribute a bit to the hamb so here it goes.
I am sure it will not be anything that has not been done before but it is a learning curve for me.

I brought my coupe as a partially done project a couple of years ago. Progress is slow and will continue to be so as my shed time is limited. I will post bits and pieces that I believe may be of interest and try not to go over what has been over a hundred times before.

The coupe has been through a few hands and without going into it to much some of the chassis work in particular is fucked up. But by the time l am finished l am aiming for it to be a safe and reliable ride.

Just curious here--will you be keeping the transverse spring with the 9" axle?

Cool project - most of us can appreciate slow progress, as long as there is progress.

So finally have a little progress to show
I like the idea of a removable trans tunnel , here is my version
Six pieces bent around logs and tweaked with a big hammer then zapped together
Turned out ok , still need to clean it up a bit

Also picked up a 39 pedal assy
Brought unseen and it turned out to be flogged within an inch of its life
Shaft worn through the bushes and into the cast assy
Of course the shaft itself is useless but l recently purchased a Micky mouse mill and a lathe so l can deal with that.
This will be my first project with them
I needed to bore out the pedal to get it round again so the bush will fit well.
Cleaned up the edges while l was at it

Was happy with how the 39 pedal assembly came up but have decided to go back to running the original assy which l have modified to work well with the clutch brake set up l have

To use the 36 pedal assy I needed to spin the brake shaft so that it pushed through the brake pedal first
and then through the pedal bracket assy . To make sure the shaft stayed where it was meant to
I tapped one end of the shaft and put in a stud (pinned it as well) and will use a castellated nut and
split pin to make sure it all stays together.

For the clutch side of things I needed to get the actuating motion pushing rearward rather than the original
forward motion as l was going with hydraulic set up.
To do this l cut of the original lever set up of the end of the clutch shaft.
I then raided the scrap heap and grabbed an old ride on mower spindle which I was hoarding for reasons unknown
and machined down the large splined blade retaining washer and the splined spindle shaft itself.

I made a pretty basic lever ( mock it up to make sure you have the right sort of ratio to actuate the slave cylinder properly) and welded this to the turned down splined washer.
I fitted the old splined spindle shaft to the clutch shaft. (tapped and threaded)
    She was right to go
The beauty of this is it gives plenty of scope for clutch adjustment and getting the clutch and brake pedal

Well looks like l have been pretty slack in updating my build thread.
    Progress is happening but slow.
I had a go at spraying the firewall myself, it turned out ok but the reality of being a complete novice painter and the stuff ups I managed to create just on the firewall made me realise the car deserves a better paint job than what I can manage.
So its in the hands of a good local fella getting some paint on.

I welded some wire on the doors to close the gaps jumping about to minimise heat issues,

I have found most of my time with the wiring is actually trying to work out which wires in what loom and the best way to run them

starting to reassemble door glass and window felts.
Just a tip , the little screws that come with the kit need to be thrown to the shit house.
Grab some Phillip’s head screws with a bit more length, much more user friendly
