Really been enjoying following this on Instagram, glad to see you started a post here as well! @porknbeaner youll dig this
This is a lot like that flatty powered roadster out of Kansas that used to run at the HAMB drags. Neat build. Got to love it.
Bad ass, I really want to build a roadster like this and hinge the whole body at the back like a funny. Love your inspiration and I also love the yeakel brothers roadster. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I love the axle out front style as opposed to the stock location on a build like this. Great looking project. Cliff Ramsdell
Great build!!!!!!! Can't wait to see this one on the track. I too am wondering where the body came from?
The body is from a mould that has been knocking around in the U.K. since the early 80s I’d say there’s a few different variations on it, they ain’t perfect there’s some body line’s/swages missing compared to an original but it’s perfect for what I’m doing. Small update trying to get on it as and when I can. With the set back on the motor I always wanted to do a removable cowl just for ease of working on the engine so all on button head dzus fasteners. The firewall is roughed in, I could’ve got mad bead rolling it but it really isn’t one of them cars. It’s got to look like it’s jumped out of a blurry photo from a west coast drag strip in late 50s/early 60s so no frills here. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I really don’t check in here Often and was surprised to see this bumped up to the top, wish I could say it’s all done! But work, time, money & space has shot that one down. I got the chassis finished and into paint last winter. And I actually drug the body out a month or so back to get the inner frame finished and bonded into the body. The Motor is currently at the machine shop it’s all happening but at a much slower pace! But we’ll get there.
you should do a show and tell on that cowl treatment, not just 'using dzus fasteners'--it is a beauty!
