They could be from Lowes! The canted quads look to be mocked in with plywood or a carbon fiber panel of sorts!

You stumped me! This '58 Plymouth is similar — and better looking, I think. I'm sure that someone will find an exact match.

Always loved this custom mod on (most ) Kustoms. This truck is a old local Colorado built cruzer, I like it and remember when Ed Banes brought this old Kustom back to life.

A poor quality shot of a high quality, canted quad kustom. Looks like the grille opening is formed from two '53-'55 Stude gravel pans and filled with expanded metal with some kind of shallow "bullets" of some sort. FB_IMG_1613494191326.jpeg

Canted head lights aren't anything new but it is a timeless look. Very cool.

I missed this thread, but just caught up.

I also noticed a large number of very familiar bezels!

No wonder they seem hard to find for my '61 Chrysler!

This is what he got back. Done in the late 50’s.

    Hello,

In the late 50s, custom cars played a role in the hot rod/custom car scene in So Cal. These old photos came from a film of a car show that took place in a grocery store parking lot somewhere in So Cal . It showcased a whole lineup of different customs that used to show up at these community parking lot events. The abundance of quad headlights seemed like a popular way to build a new custom or add something to an old hot rod for a different look.

The 1940 Ford Sedan looks as if it had just added on the quad/canted headlights to join the club. The neighbor took a different route with vertical quad headlights. As the film rolls on, a cool 55-56 Buick Hardtop Sedan pops up with their version of quad headlights.

Not to be outdone, a very cool 57 Thunderbird was there in the popular Tahitian Red color and scallops with a set of quad/ canted headlights for a cool look at a 50s trend in custom cars from So Cal.

Those canted head lights look great on the 49-50-51 Ford trucks..
