My girlfriend had to deal with hot rods in the garage and choppers in the living room. The only things that have changed in forty three years is I now have a place for the choppers besides the living room....seems to keep her happy.
The singer is also the writer. I think She only had one song make the Top 100 charts but she wrote many other songs for other artists and TV shows. The hot rod song is actually the A-side but the dumbasses have the B-side showing.

I'd nominate something by BTO or that tune by John Fogerty about driving which I can't recall the name of right now. Then there's Mark Knoefler and his song about a corvette he coveted and the race car driver guys name, again I can't recall the name...
