So I’m kicking around a transverse muffler on the kids rambler. We are wanting a turbo style With an inlet and outlet on the same side. We have big space in front of the rear end so I was thinking a single transverse muffler would be easy to package . The mufflers I have looked at have inlets on one end and outlets on the other end. Can anyone recommend one that has inlets and outlets on the same side? Edit——I forgot to say we will be running 2-1/4” pipe.
Early 2nd gen Camaro has 1 in and 1 or 2 out. I was tucked up behind the rearend and in front of the gas tank. Hmm all I could find is 1 in and 2 out.......maybe cap one off?.
The AAR Cudas had both the inlet and outlet on the front end of the muffler but I think they were 2 1/4”. They’re also fairly pricey IMO.
2-1/2 inch inlet and outlet though MagnaFlow 5" X 8" Oval Offset/Offset Same End Straight Through Performance Muffler Flowmaster shows one that is similar Flowmaster® 842580 - 80 Series Stainless Steel Oval Black Exhaust Muffler (2.5" Offset ID, 2.5" Same Side Offset OD, 13" Length) (carid.com) Dynomax Performance 17676 Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers | Summit Racing You would have to use reducers on any of those to have them work.
I guess I didn’t convey my thoughts correctly when I typed the original Post. I am looking for a turbo styled muffler with 2 inlets and 2 outlets(4 total). I want to mount it transversely with 2 pipes coming from the motor and 2 pipes exiting the muffler. So if the muffler sits sideways I need the front inlets coming from the motor on both sides(left and right) and the rear outlets on both sides for tail pipes.
Pretty sure my buddies 63 Riviera has a muffler like you want, maybe.... Haven't seen that car in awhile.

There are a few dual inlet/outlet turbo type mufflers on Summit if you are still looking; good luck with your project: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-17654 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-53804/make/jeep
Rusty, can you share some more dimensions you need? For example: length, body oval size, inlet-outlet spacing, etc.? Tom Hand
As usual, squirrel has it. Camaro's and Novas. Camaro's 67-third gens; Nova's 68-79. I had a built 250 six in an OT Nova, and used the stock, dual, factory exhaust. With Clifford headers, it had a sports car sound to it. Kinda "rappy". I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Not the 3rd gen Fbodies, they had single in and dual out. They did have a dual cat set up, but still joined into one to the muffler.
