Dont think this has been posted on here before, my friends 40 sedan

 

This is the Dick Lindar race car that ran in the 1951 Langhorne Speedway Modified Sportsman race....he was involved in a fiery wreck towards the end of that race...looks like a sharp looking 40 Ford from here...love how high it sits...

This one has been around these parts for years, I really like it............a lot. The owner contacted me a year or so back, said it and his whole collection was up for sale. Health reasons I think it was. Asked if I wanted it. I did and went to see it as I haven't in a long time. Great car, excellent shape. Turns out he wanted to liquidate but not really. Seventy thou. was the price he wanted. Great time meeting him, great collection but......................................I don't know if he sold or not

 

They all make me smile but this one makes me smile REAL big.

I doubt it’ll ever be for sale again..... until I’m gone.
I’ve got it completely “sorted out” after owning it for 6 months. It’s really an awesome ‘40.
The previous owner still gets calls from all over about it......I guess he likes the attention ......it’s cool with me

I know there's a huge post about 40 Fords anniversary that I watch and will continue to watch. At first I thought why another but then there's nothing better in my book than a '40 Ford be it a Coupe, Convertible, 2 dr sedan....I've had several and still have 1.

 

How about we throw in a little of everything and anything too. I like this thread too.

Not meaning a "self high five" by quoting myself, but I keep imagining this one as an around town street menace with an angry sounding 283 or 327, a 4 speed, and low geared posi.

some before, during, & after shots of my 40 standard 2dr, dark gray w/gray tweed interior when I bought it, still had brown mohair covers under the gray tweed.....also my complete 1940 license plate collection...all 48 states including Hawaii & Wash, DC.

 

I have built a pile of cars over the years, but I absolutely LOVE driving this one.
