  1. You can be stupid fast with a 471. Ask me how I know. The right combination and tuning, and away you GO!;):)

  2. Dyers offers rebuilding services, plus there's a thread here on going through blowers yourself.

The guy I bought the blower from is a buddy who pulled it off a 80's ZZ Top lookalike duece roadster. The car had less than 10k on it since it was put together with a GM 195 horse crate motor. The motor had chewed the cam up and it was running a few cylinders down. The blower was pulled off and Gary Dyers was called to see about a rebuild. He had my buddy check a few things and send a couple pics and told him not to waste his money, it wouldn't need a rebuild for a while. Long story short ZZ no Top now has a Coyote motor in it.

I took a couple of 3" muffler clamps and welded on some scrap steel so I could hang the rearend in the correct spot. 20210207_164015.jpg Then I was finally was able to get the ladder bar cross member tacked in and had enough time to get the upper coilover mount tacked up as well

I was able to get some measurements and start laying out the cradle for the fuel cell and battery. Also I made the panhard bar brackets and got them tacked up. Also yanked the engine block out as it is off to the machine shop on Tuesday. 20210214_154202.jpg 20210214_154202.jpg 20210214_154207.jpg

Motor is all together on the stand ready to go. I managed to find an Ansen blow proof bell housing with out having to sacrifice a testicle to pay for it. Starting on the plumbing now, hopefully it will run soon. Then wrap up the body. Pictures to come.
