Get a copy of - streetrod builder, the one that has "getting moldy" as an article...
they published my article on making '35 to '39 car garnish to fit '33-'34 fivers...
    same method could do '32s...

We did some tidying up this weekend.
Dad got the Coker fronts put on, the radiator and grill shell on, and the hood mounted. Today we installed the door handles and temporarily hooked them to the “bear jaw” latches with welding rod to see if they would function.... they did . We Had a time trying to figure out a safe distance the door handle should be from the edge of the door that wouldn’t interfere with door glass installation on the inside but I think we figured it out. Until next week

  11. My body man buddy needed a set of garnish moldings for a 37 chevy in his shop. Used 55-57 chevy moldings to cut up/weld up to work. Not saying you should be watching for 55 chevy pieces but maybe some moldings from another car could work after some trimming/cutting/welding. We couldn't find an affordable rear window molding for my 34 so we made the top part from a rusty 34 molding and the sides and bottom from a 36 molding.
But I really like the plywood idea

We are making some door panels.
Some beads and a couple breaks at the top. Nothing fancy but will sturdy things up a bit and help with window treatment later.

Today we spent hrs cleaning up the wiring in the front, ran fuel lines, and put on some spark plug wire looms.
Getting close to firing it back up. Still gotta cut and polish, address all glass make up, and comb through all the loose bolts.... IMG_8120.JPG IMG_8124.JPG IMG_8125.JPG IMG_8128.JPG

Love that blue, your lucky to have your Dad and be able to share the same interest in hot rods. Is the gold on the engine a Oldsmobile color or something else? I really like that.

    Dad says,
“Oldsmobile gold. In a can at O'Riellys. Gotta have a primer first or it'll flake from heat.”

Nothing big happened today. Brakes bled, headlights wired, tranny lines hooked up, and Ford solenoid installed (because we can) here’s a pic. Enjoy the weekend!

It warmed up in the 4 states so I thought I would get Modela out for a spin. Inspirational to say the least!

Beautiful car! I have a BeBop body and was missing 1 when I bought it. Manufacturer had them available. Good luck.
