^^^When I got it with a 32-34 Ford 4 banger, downdraft carb, with 5 spd trans, 8" rear and 4WDB. In same hot rod family since May 5, 1942 until it got to me.

^^^Today with 1965 Buick Gran Sport 425 cu in engine and original factory two four barrel carbs... and the switch pitch turbo 400 automatic transmission that was also in the Gran Sport... to my knowledge the engine and trans were last bolted together at the factory.;):)

In England they made the 32 Cabriolet in 1932 and 1933.

  8. There was a red highboy '32 cabrio in one of the car mags in the '70s that I stared at for hours.
Here's one that was recently for sale, previously owned by a guy here in the PHX area.

And a shot of it at the first Arizona Hot Rod Hundred back in 2014.

@agshelby your Cabriolet is perfect in every way. I remember seeing the car over 20 years ago and looked just as nice. At that time it had red wheels and red air cleaner and will have to look at the pictures to see what else was changed.
I like this modern version of it with laidback windscreen and chopped top 72721A74-F766-42C2-AFE4-F22C4A7C2482.jpeg

@Hamtown Al awesome cabriolet and love the threads you had on the build and adventures. One of the things I really do enjoy is the option top on or off. In the 25 plus years owning my cab the top has only been on a few times crazy 1FC0D09C-77D0-40D8-A995-D2D9B7C24B8F.jpeg

Thanks for the kind words. I'm honored that anybody even looks at my threads.:)
My top is always on... but seldom up!!:D
Having a cover to use when it is down is more appealing to my eye but I've got a buddy with a 36 cabriolet that likes his top down, too, but never had a cover made for his... to each his own.;):D

Black and white start line pg.jpg I'm over the pond in the UK with a 32 Cabriolet, found it in the US for sale, was an old race car and guy was breaking it up into parts.. Managed to buy as much of it as possible and rebuild it.. kept the original crab claw flames. Maybe someone recognises it from back in the day. Running a race tuned 284 flatty and driven and raced regularly..

This post brought back a memory from almost?? 40 years ago in Atlantic Iowa. A guy by the name of Hugh Render had purchased a full fendered 32 Cabriolet, it came with a 427 FE but he worked a deal to swap in a 302, the doors had been welded up but he was able to get window mechanisms, etc to have real windows. I only remembered seeing it that once, a really nice car, a few years later I bought a couple of his other cars (pedestrian daily driver beaters) after he passed. I wonder where that car went?
