love to hear, i also did all my own body & painted mine in a glorified barn, with only natural light. I used a flat/satin and buffed it into a semi and absolutely loved it. I was was able to go back and fix a few bad body spots (I too hate body work) 3 months later and the blend was very smooth.

Good luck man, can’t wait to see the new paint.

    Here 1950s/2000s poormans paint job.
Home Hardware custom tinted Rust Coat Enamel( Canadians know this store) with a generic hardener. Its nothing more than am alkyd enamel with a urethane enhancement. Thinned with urethane grade reducer, shot on with conventional gravity feed gun 1.4 tip, 45 psi. Lloyd my body work is rough..lol
Not great but not bad could use a cut and polish. Its 7 years old already. 20201225_115603.jpg

Aaron D. Good looking paint job

Just for reference, tcpglobal has a full lacquer line in their restoration shop brand. Ive never used their lacquer, have been happy with the enamel and urethane single stage.

  12. Check out 1941 Chevrolet "Ruby Maroon". It's the color that says 50's most not the type of paint or texture.
