Well Ive actually finished one of the few rat finks ive started And Also threw some stripes on my cowl during the brush bash we had at the shop this weekend. Heres a couple panels done by Dave Dunbar from Saskatchewan aka Ace Finelines.
They look real good except one thing. You really need some veins in those eyes! RF kinda looks a little too sober, you know? Vance
they do have some veins but they are pretty fine...i will widen them out so they stand out more. The only work i did today at the bash was my truck there. I get to do a 32 ford tomorrow i hope though. Ill post some pics when done.
ive posted some of the truck on other posts: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122988 Thats the most recent post but there are random ones of the build throughout. thanks killer d. Ive been messin around pinstriping for probably a year now just whenever i have time and not too tired. as of actual paying customer jobs i think ive only done about 3 or so. Just a beginner. I post once in a while on our website for the shop too.
you do really good for a beginner....We were all beginners at one time...isn't that right, Vance I'm impressed ,If you can do this after one year...
thanks again guys yeah first thing tomorrow ill get some big viens in there and also need some trembles and sweat comin off of him as well i forgot.
You can kinda see the veins now. camera doesnt pic it up very well. sorry. Another question whats the opinions on the mrs. ??? should i put some hair on her or in her ears or something?
Realy nice job for one year You have the proportions down for the most part would it be ok if I made a suggestion for what you could practice next?
To take the next Fink to the next level, I would play around with two things They kinda go hand in hand. One play with how the paint flows off the brush. Then play wtih pulling a thick and thin line so you can do an even cooler outline next time But for now just enjoy what you've done It's a good start! Oh ya, don't forget Rat Finks sweat beads
