Looking for some radiator hoses for small block Chevy to 1929 Ford Model A radiator. Any help is greatly appreciated!
They make thousands of different shapes and sizes of hoses. Make a mockup of what you need. You can use some heater duct taped together to make it rigid, or stick pieces of old rad hose together, even bend an piece of wire. Then go to the parts store and ask permission to look through their stock of hoses until you find one the right diameter that has the right shape or curves to it. You will probably have to cut it down to size but that is easy with a utility knife.
IIRC @HOTRODPRIMER posted about using VW heater hose for mocking up what is needed to take to the parts store to see what will work. Makes sense to me.
Oreilly's sells the old silver heat tube that went from the air breather down to the exhaust manifold. It works great to make a pattern.
At the bottom, a 1.75" Gates #20242 fits a SBC/29 radiator with just a tiny bit of trimming. On top, it depends on what thermostat housing you're using. -I used a swivel housing that angles up about 45* (Edelbrock #4817) and a 1.5" Gates #20380 cut in half fit perfectly. -The top hose on a V8 '55-57 Chevy V8 also fits nicely if the radiator inlet is centered. The engine in the pics is a 354 Chrysler Hemi with a SBC water pump & Speedway radiator. Hope this helps.
There also was a recent thread about a SBC in a 32 and and a few other part numbers listed. Within the past few days.
