It’s black and got a Ford in it, so guessing Ol’ Henry would approve. Pendine is 1/2 mile then speed timed between two points of 100 foot (I think). I’m aiming for over 100mph. Although that doesn’t sound too tough, it is. Getting the power down onto the sand and not making any quick movements isn’t easy.
More than words can say. Simply impressive would be an understatement. I guess brakes will be da next act?. Your capabilities are outstanding. Hats off to ya.
Are you nuts, hoses , bearings , hose clamps, and alloy parts and pieces, hopped up and blown, yes the car and our minds. Oh Yes, I bet the 97's still leak and blow gas in your face on occasion.

Just went through this whole build and I am in awe. Amazing work! I look forward to seeing more updates on this amazing Banger build. My son, my father, and I are planning our first banger build now. Your work is inspiring and intimidating all at the same time.

Can't wait to see you give it a serious pedal pounding...pulverizing the Pendine Sands...I can't imagine that block would ever have dreamed being punched out like this one has...

@nutrocker Stunning craftsmanship! Are you concerned at all about the oil pump hanging down so low, or maybe it just appears to be due to photo angles. Just in case a rock gets tossed into the pump drive and throws the belt, I'd consider a low/no oil pressure engine kill switch.
It’s always a concern that something could knock the belt from the pump. The photos don’t show, but there is a pair of rings that fit either side of the pump pulley. These stop the belt from being able to come off the pulley. There’s always a risk with a setup like this, hopefully the worst won’t happen. The low pressure kill switch is an interesting idea. I do have an oil warning light mounted on the carbs directly in my eye line.
A friend of mine has an old gasoline powered welder that came from the factory with a low oil pressure kill switch. It uses basically the same pressure switch as the warning light you have, and is connected to the points side of the ignition coil. There is an override switch that breaks the circuit for starting. Flip the override switch, start it, when there is oil pressure flip the override switch back. If the welder loses oil pressure, the pressure sensor switch grounds the ignition coil and the engine shuts down. Pretty simple setup for the protection it can provide.
